Rinko Kawauchi Early Works 1997 includes unpublished and never before released images from the artists personal archive. Made during the same period as the works published within her breakthrough series Utatane (2001), these images were amongst many which were not included in the book and until now had not been made available to the public. Over a year in production and created with close and careful attention to each image, a selection of six works have been realised in collotype, and offers an intimate glimpse into the beginnings of the artists visual language.
