Marocco 1971

Gabriele Basilico then crossed Morocco with Giovanna Calvenzi and some friends. It was the summer of 1971, a period characterised by a sense of freedom of movement that influenced the young photographer's desire to no longer let chance be his guide. After a journey of ten thousand kilometres, he found himself with fifteen rolls of film. The images oscillate between reportage with a social scope, architectural studies of imperial cities and beautiful faces that tell people's life stories. Morocco 1971 was therefore a decisive step in Basilico's learning process.
